Trademark Metals Recycling (TMR) is committed to safety, the environment, and the communities in which we operate. Read more about our Ocala facility's RIOS (Recycling Industry Operating Standard) certification.
Our comprehensive safety process includes ongoing training and procedures to ensure the safety of all employees and our customers. TMR was selected to receive the prestigious Florida/United Safety Council Award four of the past five years. Learn more about these safety awards.
As a recycling industry leader, our goal is to preserve the environment through a strong comprehensive environmental protection program at all Trademark Metals facilities. We value the environment of the communities in which we operate and recognize its importance to our employees, their families and our continued welfare. Protecting the environment is critical to our operations and the company's long-term success.
TMR and our parent, The David J. Joseph Company (DJJ), are proud
of our contributions to the scrap industry. As an effort to
assist in the reduction of mercury emissions from steel making, we
fully
support the National Vehicle Mercury
Switch Recovery Program (NVMSRP). The NVMSRP is a national
partnership among steelmakers, scrap suppliers, vehicle
manufacturers, environmental groups, the Environmental Council of
States, and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. Their
goal is to remove and recover mercury containing switches from
end-of-life vehicles before they enter the scrap supply stream.
The Company has long been a supporter of the communities in which we operate. Some examples include our partnership with the West Palm Beach landfill to recycle metal scrap from municipal waste and our cooperation with state and local law enforcement to pursue and apprehend criminals involved in metal theft.
