TMR’s 30 Recycling Facilities Stand Down for Fall Prevention

Trademark Metals Recycling (TMR) is pleased to announce its participation in OSHA’s National Safety Stand Down for Fall Prevention.  During the week of June 2, every TMR recycling facility will conduct daily field-based safety meetings focusing on key aspects of fall prevention.   This includes fall hazard recognition, choosing the proper fall prevention systems, ladder safety, maintaining three-point contact, preventing slips/trips/falls on the same level and a focused review of personal fall arrest gear.TMR appreciates OSHA’s efforts in organizing this event.  We support such outreach initiatives that greatly enhance cooperation between the agency and employers to work toward the same goal:   a safe and healthful workplace.Trademark Metals Recycling is a metal recycler and  buys common household ferrous and nonferrous scrap metal items like appliances, gutters, sheet metal, automobiles, aluminum cans and other aluminum, copper and brass products. Sweet Dreams Touch-a-Truck Event

On May 17, 2014 the Gainesville Trademark Metals Recycling (TMR) facility took part in the 5th Annual Sweet Dreams Touch-A-Truck event. At Touch-A-Truck, citizens were able to get up close to the large vehicles they may frequently see on the roadways.  Children had the opportunity to climb into and/or on vehicles and to talk with the drivers.  They learned about the vehicles and pedestrian safety around large vehicles.  Touch-A-Truck provides children with a hands-on educational experience about their community. The admission was free. There was a minimal charge for some activities such as a dunking booth, bounce houses, face painting and food.  The proceeds from the event benefited the Children’s Burn Camp of North Florida, Camp Amigo.
